Ariba, Inc., (Nasdaq: ARBA) today announced that co-founder, chairman and CEO Keith Krach was named the national Ernst & Young eBusiness Entrepreneur of the Year 2000. The award is in recognition of his leadership, entrepreneurial spirit and innovation in the business-to-business (B2B) industry. Mr. Krach was presented with the award at the 14th annual Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year International Conference held in Palm Springs. The four-day conference was a finale to an extensive search identifying and recognizing exceptional regional entrepreneurs. In addition, Mr. Krach was named the regional Northern California EOY winner for eBusiness in June 2000.
Ariba is widely regarded as the leading B2B eCommerce company, having brought to market a global, interoperable Internet commerce platform that brings together buyers, suppliers, service providers, and Internet market makers in all industries.
“While I am greatly honored to be the recipient of such a prestigious award, it’s clear that Ariba’s success and this recognition is due to the hard work of the employees of this company,” said Krach. “No one person can lead alone and expect to be successful, and that is why I am grateful for the incredible talent here at Ariba. I believe with every fiber of my being that the company with the best people wins.”
